Appearance and identification
Indonesian tiger perch may be mis-sold under this name. Fewer broad bars and warmer colour are useful clues, but stripes alone do not identify it.
Adult space
Plan public-display or exceptionally large private accommodation, stable water and careful feeding observation after arrival.
Diet and feeding
Offer suitable aquatic animal foods; mammalian meat or random feeder fish is not a complete feeding plan.
Same-species behaviour
Adults are not reliably schooling; no group number guarantees harmony.
Compatibility limits
Small fish and shrimp remain prey.
Aquarium environment
Floating cover does not replace space or filtration.
