A large-mouthed predator. Being well fed does not make small fish safe; use a 150 × 38 cm swimming footprint as a starting point.
Social behaviour and territory
Keep several females per male. Can swallow small fish, so tankmates must be too large to swallow.
Diet and feeding
Mainly suitably sized frozen animal foods such as shrimp and mollusks, with pellets as a supplement.
