Appearance and identification

The silvery head leads into a nearly transparent body; the anal fin is long and the dorsal inconspicuous. Older trade literature misused bicirrhis and minor; those names cannot automatically supply this species' records.

Floor and movement space

Use a mature, stable aquarium with shade and companions. SF recommends at least six; ensure every fish feeds.

Aquarium environment

Keep open midwater space beneath shade. Shrimp safety and plant damage remain unverified.

Diet and feeding

Offer suitable complete foods and small frozen foods in the water column.
