Appearance and identification

Compare with dwarf rasboras: this fish has yellow-green sheen and clear fins, while dwarf rasboras are red-orange with separate black spots.

Same-species behaviour

Keep at least 8–10.

Space requirements

Allow a 60 × 30 cm base.

Diet and feeding

Offer tiny prepared foods and small live or frozen foods; oversized pellets are unsuitable.

Compatibility limits

Assess predation, feeding competition, space and water for companions.

Aquarium environment

Planting and a dark substrate reveal the sheen; retain swimming space and oxygenation.
