Appearance and identification

Albino and long-finned forms are the same species. Laser and black-cory trade names cannot be assigned to this species by colour alone.

Floor and movement space

An 80 × 30 cm base; plan for the adult group and foraging space.

Aquarium environment

Leave clean, smooth substrate and open foraging space. These fish still need deliberate feeding.

Diet and feeding

Provide suitably sized sinking food and a varied diet. Leftovers are not enough.

Same-species behaviour

Keep at least six.

Compatibility limits

Choose appropriately sized peaceful companions. Small shrimp may be eaten.
