Parosphromenus linkei
Parosphromenus linkei
The relatively large, somewhat lance-shaped tail has a filament, clearly distinguishing it from pahuensis with its round tail and no filament.
- Adult length
- Up to 2.8 cm (standard length, without the tail fin)
- Water temperature
- 20–24 °C
The guide includes breeding cases at pH up to 6 and above 7 at Ostrava Zoo. These cannot be combined into a routine recommended range.
Social behaviour and territory
The genus does not form tight schools. Pairs may be used for breeding; groups need caves and visual barriers. Watch nest defenders and subordinate fish.
Diet and feeding
Following the genus-level care guide, prepare tiny, suitably sized live foods. Acceptance of dry foods is unreliable; confirm actual feeding after offering food.
