Parosphromenus pahuensis
Parosphromenus pahuensis
A rounded caudal fin without a filament, unlike the somewhat lance-shaped, filament-bearing tail of linkei.
- Adult length
- Up to 2.2 cm (standard length, without the tail fin)
- Natural habitat
- Inhabits small blackwater forest streams.
Needs very soft, acidic water.
Social behaviour and territory
Does not form tight schools. Pairs can be used for breeding; groups need caves and cover. Watch nest guarding and subordinate fish.
Diet and feeding
Offer tiny, suitably sized live foods. Dry food is unreliably accepted; confirm the fish actually eat.
