Parosphromenus quindecim
Parosphromenus quindecim
A relatively compact, deep body, with horizontal flank stripes that may appear broken.
- Adult length
- Up to 2.9 cm (standard length, without the tail fin)
- Water temperature
- 22–28 °C
- Natural habitat
- Its known native range is restricted to the Pawan River basin in Indonesian Borneo.
Needs extremely soft, acidic water.
Social behaviour and territory
Does not form tight schools. Pairs may be used for breeding; groups need caves and visual barriers. Watch nest defenders and subordinate fish.
Diet and feeding
Offer tiny, suitably sized live foods. Dry food is unreliably accepted; confirm the fish actually eat.
