Appearance and identification

Unlike the brassy, long-sworded kallmani with its fine orange line, this male is compact and speckled without a long sword.

Diet and feeding

Accepts vegetable-content flakes and small pellets; fry eat finely crushed flake. Algal grazing does not replace feeding.

Compatibility limits

Parents were not seen eating fry in a covered breeding setup, but safety is not guaranteed for young shrimp or other companions.

Aquarium environment

Floating fry cover helps; it does not guarantee fry survival at other densities.
