- Adult length
- Up to 1.6 cm (standard length, without the tail fin)
- Water temperature
- 20–28 °C
- pH
- 6–7
- Hardness
- 1–10 dGH
- Native range
- Central and southern Thailand, including the Sai Buri, Mae Klong and Chao Phraya basins, with additional records in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Same-species behaviour
Keep at least 8–10. Hybridisation with other Boraras is possible.
Space requirements
A 45 × 30 cm base.
Diet and feeding
Offer tiny prepared foods and small live or frozen foods; check that sheltered fish feed.
Compatibility limits
Consider predation and feeding competition when choosing companions.
Aquarium environment
Dense plants and floating shade provide cover.
